Hasan Bisri

My career began in 2004, developing a new system. By mid-2005, my General Manager challenged me to supervise the engineering team and oversee Human Resources—long before the era of multitasking became the norm.

In 2008, I began following my passion for travel. I decided to move to Bali, where I was introduced to the hospitality industry. I started as a web developer at Exotiq Villa Services, where my role involved more than just building websites—I also developed a central reservation system for multiple properties. I collaborated with SolutionSet, a company based in California, whose strong work ethic taught me valuable lessons in time management and discipline.

Later in 2008, after successfully launching the system, I was given another challenge: working with Mr. Aryo Indarto to develop IT infrastructure and build a website for Divine Villas, a villa management company. Collaborating with Mr. Aryo deepened my understanding of IT solutions specific to the hospitality industry.

In 2012, I relocated to Jakarta to join PHM Hospitality as an IT Manager. I was later entrusted with managing the Sales & Marketing department as an E-commerce and Revenue Manager. Transitioning from a technical background to the world of sales and marketing was a significant cultural shift—but I embraced the challenge.

By 2015, my responsibilities had expanded beyond online revenue. In 2016, I was entrusted with managing overall hotel revenue, marking another milestone in my professional journey.

My Experience

10+ year as hotelier

I began my career in 2004 developing systems, and by 2005 I was supervising engineering and HR—well ahead of the multitasking trend. In 2008, I followed my passion for travel to Bali and entered the hospitality industry as a web developer at Exotiq Villa Services, where I built multi-property reservation systems and collaborated with SolutionSet (USA), strengthening my time management and discipline. Later that year, I worked with Mr. Aryo Indarto to develop IT infrastructure and web systems for Divine Villas, deepening my expertise in hospitality IT solutions.

In 2012, I moved to Jakarta to join PHM Hospitality as an IT Manager. I later transitioned to Sales & Marketing as E-commerce and Revenue Manager, embracing the challenge of moving from tech to commercial strategy. By 2015, I was overseeing not only online revenue but, from 2016, total hotel revenue—marking a continuous evolution in my leadership and business acumen.
